The "victim" is played by uncredited 13 year old Elinore Donahue, who would go on to much bigger things playing Robert Young's daughter Betty 'Princess' Anderson in the hugely successful TV series "Father Knows Best" from 1954 to 1960.
The whole scene hinges on the phrase "I Like Maude Adams"

The guy has a limited amount time (4 stops) to work up the nerve to talk to the woman.
She seems receptive to the idea.. Hmmm..
