It's a picture of Iona made in the shelter. Unfortunately you cant't see her large eyes.

Re: Picture of Iona
Iona is a beautiful ancient Greek name. Jack's mother was Iona. We adore and have always had black cats in our lives, she looks to be an elegant and serene cat. Jack felt sad to hear of Arwen's passing, and we wish you and the beautiful Iona many years of joyful and healthy life together.

Re: Picture of Iona
I think Iona looks very pleased with the way things have turned out for her..
She has her own flat and a loving human to spoil and pamper her for the rest of her life.
A cat couldn't wish for more.
I just realized I have 4 black cats.
Orsen, Fluff, Nigel and Chloe.
With the exception of Fluff, they're the friendliest cats in the house.

Re: Picture of Iona
I love black cats. Very beautiful, Claudia.
Maxie is black as well. Excuse the armpit hairs.

Re: Picture of Iona
Maxie's gorgeous as well ~ I love that sort of long haired coat. My aunt has a Maine Coon with a similar sort of coat, though she's a tabby colour. Her tail's black and is really impressive. Last time I saw her, though, she'd had a 'lion clip' as she had a lot of matts in her coat that wouldn't come out...
I think black cats seem to look a bit more elegant and sleek than any other colour. Darker coats seem more glossy as well - it's funny how dark colours are better at reflecting light.

Re: Picture of Iona
Blackies are precious. So endearing and sweet too. I have met burly black cats with dense coats that make you want to push your hand underneath it. Even those reluctant rough guys that seem so formidable melt with the right ear scratches. I hope to always have them in my life.

Re: Picture of Iona
Maxie isn't a Persian. I'm not sure what he is, but he's a former shelter cat too. So is Molly, the mother.
Thanks Len for cropping the photo.
We must take care of each other and our pets.
